Hair grown after hair transplant is permanent. Hair follicles implanted are taken from our own body hair are completely accepted by bald area and retains complete genetic characteristics as usual. A small percentage of hair may fall with the increase of age as natural process.
4. What is "follicular unit extraction"?
This is completely natural hair transplant technique which doesn’t leave any scar after hair transplant. This is completely stitch-less and painless hair procedure. In this individual hair follicles are taken and are separated individual hair root and then implanted into bald area, which grows like natural hair without leaving any mark.

Density projections could be told to a patient by his Surgeon, after he very carefully examines hi patient’s area of Transplant (virtually by a operating Telescope to see 12 to 20 X) V/S the Donor area more so the (density and texture of hair in the donor area, disease/dandruff, percentage of gray hair in the area, race of the patient etc).

9. What are the differnt types of hair transplant are available nowdays?
FUHT – The conventional method of Hair Transplant, involves taking out of a strip from the posterior scalp, followed by dissection of the strip by , trained para medical workers,to give the surgeon micro follicular grafts.
FUE- Using a motorized punch needle each and every graft is dissected away from its adjacent tissue, which is than pulled out by suction or mechanically pulled by a puller forceps.
BHT- Body hair transplant, usually done from fringe areas othe beard or sometimes chest or other parts of the individual, usually used as an adjuvant.
10. What is main differentce between FUHT AND FUE?
It’s a general comparison between the two methods most prevalent. FUHT could be thought as a method of choice for those who have a fear of stitches or usually for, first timers, i;e; those individuals who are taking there first hair transplants,
FUHT is good to give you a graft need of upto 5500 to 6500 follicles in selected cases; FUE is more suitable for cases needing 2000 to 3000 follicles only. FUHT is a faster process for large number of grafts in comparison to FUE. There are no horizontal scars in the FUE technique, whitest very tiny white spots may be seen which tend to disappear, with Super Trichophytic Closure the extent of scar is very minimal and hardly noticeable in FUHT procedures too. FUE is good for procedures needing 2000 to 3000 grafts only. FUHT can very well suffice a need of 5500 to 6500 or more grafts. In FUHT procedures a person need not to go bald for the procedure, while for FUE procedures one has to go bald for the donor area, Immediately after the procedure in FUHT methods there is no scar seen,i;e; none of your colleagues can question you about the procedure in case you do not wish to disclose about the procedure.
11. What is scarring comparision between FUHT and FUE procedure?
In FUHT procedures a very fine horizontal or oblique scar lines may be noticed if a person who has gone Bald due to any reason after a Hair Transplant, it is less likely until and unless someone sees you too attentively. Usually lines after first procedures are neglible.
In FUE procedures there are virtually no scar marks, just very tiny white dots of the punch entry are seen , which are almost un identifiable to a naked eye. But I will again mention that, choosing the type of procedure should be , more than to comparison of scars only.
12. How much pain one have to bear for a hair transplant?
The Procedure of a Hair Transplant is usually or invariably done by using local anesthesia ,i.e.; only the part the doctor is working upon is De sensitized or given local injections to produce numbness in the part , where the Surgeon has to work, thus practically speaking there is no pain when the Surgeon is actually working on a patient’s scalp, even the pain of pricks of needle could be minimized to great extent by locally spraying of Lignocaine Sprays and to assist more one can use Electrophoresis with it, kindly ask your surgeon weather he has that or not.
13. What are the precautions to be taken after a hair transplant procedure?
Usual precautions for a Hair Transplant Procedures are very easy and comfortable in case you move according to the advise of your Surgeon and your Surgeon is well experienced. You need to wash your scalp with Medicated Shampoos the night before you are going for the transplant and than again on the morning, before you are going for the procedure, Take a heavy Breakfast before you move out of your hotel or home, as the Lignocaine used for the purpose of local anesthesia may sometimes cause mild hypoglycemia, weather to prescribe an Anti biotic or an Anti fungal depends on your Surgeon as he is the one to judge it by taking a relevant history from you. You may be advised not to take a head bath for next 36 to 48 hours depending on your condition , you may be asked not go under a shower bulb or use a mug to pour water over the head, not to rub the towel instead gently press the area to dry. Not to visit the Gym for 5 to 7 days.

Cm are said to be a GOOD WORK. 45 to 35 hair per Sq.Cm. are an example of SATISFACTORY WORK, 35 to 30 grafts per Sq Cm. Are just Average and a pre Sq Cm. Graft population below this should be considered a bad work. You can ask any of your Surgeons to get the follicles shown to you by a TRI CHO SCAN.

Women population though are less perturbed by hair loss but Female Pattern Hair Loss is a known entity, usually a Hair Transplant surgeon gets one case of Female Baldness after 30 or 50 male cases , truth is this that, they are uncommon but not as much as we think, other causes are over use of cosmetics, Ammonium thioglyconate, cheap dyes, reaction to other cosmetic agents , worm infestations, anemia, etc. .
